  1. Goal II: Living the Dream (2007)goal2Goal! II carries on from Goal! in which Santiago Muñez, who is now a successful footballer, gets transferred from Newcastle United to Real Madrid. The first part and this one should not be considered two different movies, it’s a single story of success divided into three movies. We have not included the third part in our list, as we believe it was quite a big letdown for the fans, still if you are interested in completing the trilogy its worth to give it a shot. We have added the IMDb link of the third part also for the curious ones.

  1. Pele: Birth of a Legend (2016)pelePele’s meteoric rise from the slums of Sao Paulo to leading Brazil to its first World Cup victory at the age of 17 is chronicled in this biographical drama. The direction cinematography and music is just amazing. It is emotional and motivational. Although the film received mostly negative reviews for it’s lack of depth in the story, it still made our list because of the inspiration it can provide for a wanna-be. The story may be a little fictional but the movie still thrills with motivational moments.

Female fans are not allowed to enter football stadiums in Iran on the grounds that there will be a high risk of violence or verbal abuse against them. The film was inspired by the director’s daughter, who decided to attend a game anyway. The film was shot in Iran but its screening was banned there.
